WHO WE ARE
We are the state affiliate of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development,
ascd.org, which is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. Our membership, numbering over 1400 and growing daily, encompasses educators from across the state of Mississippi, from over 105 school districts. These members include administrators, teachers, curriculum directors, testing directors, retired educators, and others concerned with the progress of education within our state.
WHAT WE DO
Every Summer, MASCD presents its General Conference. This event is a feature presentation led by nationally and internationally known speakers. The topics presented are focused on current critical educational issues and needs. In addition to the General Conference, MASCD hosts various Spring and Fall Workshops. Each year issues of the MASCD newsletter, Noteworthy News, offers news updates, training information, published articles, and insights regarding important events and news items within various educational fields as well as the latest news within the MASCD organization.
